Every account can now run each AI tool in ScriptCut once for free, no plan required, so you can see what it does before you buy anything.

What's New

If your account has no AI of its own (Free, Starter, or a plan that has lapsed), you get one free run of AI Cleanup, AI Select, AI Story, AI Arrange, AI Clips and AI Translate. That is six free runs total, one per module, not one per project. Use it whenever you are ready to test that module.

The Problem It Removes

Reading about an AI feature and actually seeing it work on your own footage are two different things. Before, you had to commit to a plan just to find out whether AI Select would pick the right lines from your transcript, or whether AI Story would arrange them into something usable. Now you can check first.

How It Works

In the AI row, you will see a '1 free run' badge next to any module you haven't tried yet. Say you're cutting a podcast episode and want to see how AI Story handles it: run it once, and it builds your story from the transcript, even though that single run fires a dozen calls behind the scenes to piece the story together. All of that counts as your one free run, and it doesn't touch any AI credits. Once you've used a module's free run, the badge turns into a padlock. Tap it and you'll land on the plan picker to keep using that tool.

Who It Helps

This is for anyone deciding whether to upgrade: a podcast host curious about AI Cleanup on a rough recording, an agency editor testing AI Clips on a client's talking-head video before pitching the workflow, or a marketer who wants to see AI Translate turn a UGC clip into another language before committing to a plan. If you're on ProAI, the trial, the Social plan, or a comped account, you already have the AI, so you won't see the badge.
