Transcription

Every word, every speaker, every file.

Drop in your recordings. ScriptCut writes them down word by word, with timecode, and keeps every camera and every take in one project.

Start free. Pay only for the hours you transcribe.

Your footage, turned into text you can read, search and cut.

Several files

Cam A, Cam B, one project.

Add every camera and every take to the same project. Each file keeps its own name, length and frame rate.

Each file gets its own transcript, so you can read them one after another and pull lines from any of them.

Speakers

Name a voice once.

ScriptCut tells the voices apart. Hear a sample, give it a name, and mark who asks the questions.

Rename a speaker and every line they said follows.

Cleanup

Lose the ums, keep the timecode.

Remove Fillers finds every um and uh. Click a word to keep it, then remove the rest in one pass.

Removed words are cut from the edit, never from the recording, so every line still lines up with your footage.

Questions

What languages can ScriptCut transcribe?

Pick the spoken language, or let ScriptCut detect it for you. English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and many more are supported.

How long can a recording be?

There is no file size limit. Your storage is the only limit, and even when it is full, ScriptCut still keeps the audio and the transcript.

Can I bring my own transcript?

Yes. Drop in an SRT, a VTT, or a transcript exported from Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, and each one goes to its file.

What does transcription cost?

You pay per hour of recording: $7 an hour on Free, $5 on Starter and $4 on ProAI. ProAI also includes 60 minutes every month.

Will cleaning up the transcript break my timecode?

No. Removing fillers or pauses only takes those words out of the edit. Every word keeps its original timecode, and you can bring any of them back.
