You can now keep several versions of a client's logo in their kit and choose exactly which one gets burned into a clip, including an automatic switch between a light and dark mark.
Inside a client's kit, under Social > Accounts, the logo bug section now holds a gallery, not just one file. Drop in as many PNGs as that client has, name each one, and keep them all on hand. Only one logo is in use at a time, the one that actually gets burned into the clip.
Clients rarely have one logo. There's a wordmark for light backgrounds, a reversed version for dark ones, maybe an icon-only mark for smaller shapes. Before, switching meant swapping the file in the kit every time the footage changed. Now the gallery holds them all, and you never touch the client's saved kit to handle a different shot.
Open the logo you want and drag it onto the live preview for each clip shape, 9:16, 16:9, 1:1 and 4:5, each with its own scale and opacity, or set one and press Use everywhere. Nudge it with arrow keys for a precise position, Shift for bigger steps. Name one logo as the bright-shot version of another, and ScriptCut checks the picture behind the mark on each finished clip and burns in whichever one reads clearly there, same spot, same size either way. Say a coffee brand has a white wordmark and a black one: mark the black one as the bright-shot version of the white one, and ScriptCut picks the right one clip by clip without you deciding each time. Need a clip with no logo at all? The Video step for that one clip has a Logo bug switch that turns it off there only, without changing anything in the client's kit.
Anyone editing for a client with more than one logo file, or whose footage swings between bright and dark scenes in the same batch. It also helps agencies handling several client accounts, since each client's gallery and light and dark pairing lives inside their own kit, not something you reset by hand every session.
Try it in ScriptCut.
As many as you like. They all sit in the client's logo bug gallery as thumbnails, but only one is burned into a clip at a time.
No. Whichever version gets picked lands in the same spot and at the same scale you set, only the mark itself changes.
Yes. The Video step of that clip has a Logo bug switch that removes it for that clip only, without touching the client's kit.
You can, since each shape (9:16, 16:9, 1:1, 4:5) has its own preview, scale and opacity, or you can set one and press Use everywhere to apply it to all shapes at once.
Arrow keys nudge the logo a hundredth of the frame per press, and holding Shift moves it ten times as far, for when dragging isn't precise enough.
You name one of the client's other logos as the bright-shot version of a given mark, and ScriptCut checks the picture behind the logo on each finished clip to decide which one to burn in.
