You can now star the lines you never want to lose, and ScriptCut keeps them safe through every AI pass and every export.
Every row in Select has a star. Click it and the star turns gold. That's a favorite: a line you've decided is a keeper, no matter what happens next in your edit.
You find the perfect line early in a transcript, the one line the whole story hinges on. Then you run AI Select again, or build a new AI Story, or generate AI Clips, and that line quietly disappears because the AI made a different call. Favorites stop that. A starred line is always kept by AI Select, AI Story, and AI Clips. The AI can never drop it or deselect it.
Say you're cutting a panel discussion and one guest gives a sharp, quotable answer two minutes in. Star that line the moment you spot it. Keep working through the transcript, run AI Story to shape the rest of the narrative, even regenerate AI Clips for social. That starred line rides along through all of it. When you export your timeline, it lands in the Premiere XML with a yellow 'Favorite' marker sitting right on the clip, so your editor sees it the second they open the project. Resolve picks up the same marker, just without the color.
More than one person can work in the same ScriptCut project, and the header shows who else is in there with you. Turn on the 'Who did what' toggle (the person icon) and hovering any line shows who marked it, who favorited it, or who last edited it, plus the score and reason behind any AI pick. So if a producer stars a line while you're both in the transcript, you'll see exactly who did it and when you hover.
Anyone working from a long, unscripted recording benefits: podcast editors protecting a host's best joke, documentary editors holding onto a key testimony, agencies making sure a client's must-use soundbite survives every revision, marketers locking in the one line that has to make the social cut. Favorites make sure the line you cared about most is still there when you get to the timeline.
Star your first line and see it carry through to export in ScriptCut.
It marks the line as a favorite, turning the star gold, and guarantees it is never dropped by AI Select, AI Story, or AI Clips.
No. Once a line is starred, every AI pass is required to keep it, it can't be deselected or dropped automatically.
In the Premiere XML export, favorites appear as a yellow 'Favorite' marker on the clip. Resolve shows the same marker without the color.
Yes. Turn on the 'Who did what' person icon in the header and hovering any line shows who marked, favorited, or edited it.
There's no invite or team members screen yet. Colleagues currently work in the same project by being in the account together, and clients work through a share link instead.
Yes. AI Clips respects favorites the same way AI Select and AI Story do, so a starred line will always be kept when generating clips.
